Available Spring 2024

Enhance your Farm Wisconsin field trip with the addition of a STEM learning lab, focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

STEM labs allow students to dig deeper into Wisconsin agriculture and connect hands-on with the food, fuel, and fiber produced in our state.

To increase the diversity of STEM lab topics available, we have partnered with outside experts to offer two new STEM lab experiences in the spring of 2024. Specialty STEM labs will be led by an expert in the corresponding field, and are designed to be a 30-minute addition to a Farm Wisconsin field trip.

Hydroponics at Work

Investigate the technique of growing plants using a water-based nutrient solution rather than soil with an expert from Fork Farms. Students will be hands-on with plant harvest, nutrient and pH sampling, and light management techniques.

Cost: $2/student

Available: February 20 – 23

Maple Time

Explore Wisconsin’s state tree and take a deep dive into one of the state’s sweetest industries with a maple professional. Students will actively test their ability to tap a maple tree, differentiate sweetness levels of a liquid, and identify varying grades of maple syrup.

Cost: $2/student

Available: April 8 – 12

Both STEM labs are available for grades K-12. Book your School Field Trip today to reserve a spot for these first-come, first-serve experiences.
