Hey there Northeast Wisconsin Agriculturists,

My name is Evan Mennen and I am so excited to be serving as the Section 9 State FFA
Officer and the 2022-2023 Wisconsin FFA Parliamentarian! I am from the Bay Port FFA
Chapter and have been in FFA for the past 6 years. Over the next year, my team and I will
travel the state of Wisconsin advocating for agriculture, agricultural education, and the FFA.
I look forward to networking and building relationships with FFA members from across the
state.

Being a state officer has always been a goal of mine ever since joining FFA. Now that I
have achieved this goal, I am looking forward to sharing the endless opportunities that this
great organization has to offer FFA members. In this blog, I wanted to share a couple of the
reasons why I love FFA and why it is so important to the agriculture industry.
The FFA gives students a safe place to live and learn. FFA is a safe place for those who are
looking for a place to fit in. For many students, FFA is their favorite part of school and
intra-curricular activities. They are able to find comfort in the friendships created, advisors,
projects, and memories made. The environment of FFA provides many different learning
opportunities for students.

The FFA also provides leadership skills to students. FFA is the largest youth-led leadership
organization in the nation. FFA continues to help young people meet new agricultural challenges
by helping its members develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and
career success. When you hear that someone was involved in FFA, you know that they have
gone through the preparation to become a well-rounded leader. As a pillar of the National FFA
Organization, leadership among students can be found in every aspect of the organization.
