Spend the morning immersed in the art of yarn dyeing.

Carol Wagner, owner of Hidden Valley Farm and Woolen Mill, will guide participants through the process of hand dyeing natural wool yarn. Start by learning how farmers care for sheep, collect the wool, and eventually spin it in to yarn. Carol will give insight on the different properties of wool and why she chooses to raise purebred Coopworth sheep.

Yarn provided for the class will be sourced directly from Carol’s flock of sheep, raised less than 10 miles from Farm Wisconsin.

Each participant will have the opportunity to dye two skeins of yarn, under the expert guidance of Carol. These skeins of yarn will be ready for participants to take home at the end of the class.
