Have you always wondered, why does a cow have four stomach compartments? Or, why do pigs roll in the mud? Spend an hour with Dr. Jay Bailey, DVM, for your chance to “Ask a Veterinarian” all of your farm animal-related questions.
Dr. Jay Bailey recently retired from the St. Anna Veterinary Clinic after 34 years of service to local farmers. Dr. Bailey earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Minnesota.
Wrap up the day with a second dive into the veterinary world at 1 p.m. with Dr. Katie Osborne, DVM.
Spudmobile Visit
Dive into the world of Wisconsin potatoes when the Spudmobile visits Farm Wisconsin from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m!
The Wisconsin Spudmobile was designed and developed by the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association. This is the potato industry’s most comprehensive educational and informational resource center, on wheels.
Alice in Dairyland
Did you know Wisconsin ranks 4th in the nation for tart cherries, producing 10.1 million pounds in 2020?
74th Alice in Dairyland, Julia Nunes, will be in attendance for Farm Wisconsin’s birthday celebration showcasing Wisconsin’s robust cherry industry!
Animal Visitors
Get ready for an egg-splosion of fun with animal visitors at Farm Wisconsin!
Baby animals will be on-site Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, including goats, lambs, and chickens.
Food Sampling
Throughout the weekend, guests will be able to sample food products in the Farm House Store and visit with additional special guests.
Several sneak-peek food options for the re-opening of the Wisconsin Café will be prepared for the weekend.
The Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center is a state-of-the-art, interactive agricultural education center located in Manitowoc County. Farm Wisconsin connects visitors’ curiosity to the wonder of Wisconsin farming and provides guests with a better understanding of their food sources and their importance. The center features 10,000 square feet of hands-on learning opportunities, a birthing barn where visitors may watch calves being born daily, featuring the Farm House store and Ice Cream Acres serving 16 flavors of Cedar Crest Ice Cream.
