Heritage Day
On Saturday, September 27, treat Grandma and Grandpa to a memorable day at Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center by exploring the roots of Wisconsin agriculture! Farm Wisconsin is offering $5 OFF admission to all grandparents—available only with online ticket sales.
Discover the history of farming and see how agriculture has evolved over the years. Start your visit by exploring antique tractors on display from the Mid Lakes Rustic Iron Club, Patz Equipment of Pound, WI, local community members, and even Farm Wisconsin’s own chef! There will also be an opportunity to watch antique threshing demonstrations throughout the morning.
Do you have an antique tractor or piece of farm equipment you’d like to showcase? Call (920) 726-6000 during our open hours (Mon–Sat, 9 am–4 pm) to sign up or get more details!
Additional activities throughout the Farm Wisconsin property include:
- An observational live beehive from Sunset Apiaries—commemorating National Honey Month
- Goats visiting from Maple View Goat Farm
- A horsepower strength test
- A corn yield activity—highlighting an agronomist’s role in crop harvest
- Bingo, and other hands-on fall activities.
Then, head inside to explore our hands-on exhibits that highlight Wisconsin’s diverse agriculture industry and modern technology that keeps it efficient. Be sure to stop by our birthing barn to get up close to a dairy cow and maybe even witness the miracle of a calf’s birth.
Ready for some outdoor adventure? Get lost in our exciting corn maze filled with twists, turns, and plenty of fall fun.
The Wisconsin Café will feature honey apple pancakes made with apples from Whispering Orchards and honey from Sunset Apiaries. The café serves breakfast, lunch, and homemade soups crafted with locally sourced ingredients from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
All Heritage Day activities are included in the price of general admission to Farm Wisconsin. Tickets can be purchased online or at the reception desk, with the grandparents’ discount available exclusively for online ticket sales.
