Yarn Hand Dyeing

The Yarn Hand Dying at Farm Wisconsin 9:00 am – 12:00pm on Saturday February 20th. 

During this workshop, Carol Wagner of Hidden Valley Farm and Woolen Mill, will walk participants through a yarn dying experience. Yarn provided for the class will come straight from Carol’s flock of purebred Coopworth sheep Each participant will dye two skeins of yarn to take home from the class. 

Class size is limited to allow for one-on-one instruction as participants learn about: 

?  properties of wool 
 the process of yarn spinning 
?  methods of yarn dyeing 
?  take a turn at dyeing their own yarn.  

Cost is $60 per person.  

Each participant will have their own 6′ table to complete their project, allowing plenty of room for social distancing. We have a very limited number of spots available. Sign up early and save your spot!

The Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center is a state-of-the-art, interactive agricultural education center located in Manitowoc County. Farm Wisconsin connects visitors’ curiosity to the wonder of Wisconsin farming and provides guests with a better understanding of their food sources and their importance. The center features 10,000 square feet of hands-on learning opportunities, a birthing barn where visitors may watch calves being born daily, and the Farm House Store.
